1st race of the International GT Open 2014 within Drivex.
Barcelona, â??â??April 25, 2014 - . Fernando Monje, European Champion 2012 FIA Touring , will participate in the first round of the International GT Open, to be held on 3 and 4 May in the German Nürburgring. The Barcelona RACC pilot run within the team Drivex the wheel of a Porsche 997 GT3 RSR (3.8 liters , 500 hp) teaming with experienced Argentinean driver Juan Manuel ' Cochito ' Lopez.
After his first contact with the GT as part of the Winter Series held in mid- March at the Circuit de Barcelona -Catalunya , sessions that got excellent records confirmed as best GT2 on track , has come the time of the debut of Fernando Monje an authentic GT racing , what will happen in this test , like all others, plus related training and qualifying will have a racing format of two 70 ' and 60 ', respectively.
After a stint in international passenger and previously in the F-3 , the pilot of chic & basic is excited before the first race in GT: "It's a great opportunity to pursue my link to this demanding specialty and can do it again with the Porsche RSR that I used in Barcelona will make things somewhat easier . When I got the feeling with the car, the time left in a natural way and I found that fluidity is driving that will help me to achieve the results we all want. Miguel Angel de Castro, leader Drivex structure has also been pleased that Fernando starts the International GT Open in their ranks , a team that Monk knows well since formed part of the same when upcoming 2011 European F3 Open . The Monk teammate will be the Argentine driver Juan Manuel ' Cochito ' Lopez driver was already in the International GT Open a couple of seasons ago achieving important successes . ' Cochito ' won the national title in the SuperGT 2010 with 7 wins out of 11 races , which made â??â??him the top winner in a season in the history of this championship. |
