Nürburgring (Germany ) , May 4, 2014 - . The European Touring Car Champion 2012, Fernando Monje , teaming with Argentine Juan Manuel ' Cochito ' López (Porsche 997 GT3 RSR ) , have concluded the second race of the event German International GT Open at 18th and 6th absolute position of the SWG category , after a weekend that was not exactly peaceful or easy for Drivex team .

If free trials on Friday suffered the sudden change in the program because of the bad weather, due to which Fernando Monje could only give three complete track laps, worse was to come in the first race , in which the chic & basic pilot simply could not take the wheel . Just start the German Dietmar Haggenmüller Audi slammed into the Porsche 997 GT3 RSR driven by Juan Manuel ' Cochito ' López , breaking the left front wheel and forcing the abandonment .

In the first race , held on Saturday, was ' Cochito ' which made â??â??the score (14th and 8th fastest time in Super GT ) and started the race, so that in the day today this task has fallen to Monje. In qualifying am improving in almost 3/10 the clock obtained by teammate yesterday, finished the session 19th and 8th in SWG , so started the race in a somewhat backward position in the grid .

Performing a great start , Monje improved four positions on the first lap , holding the 15th position until started lap 7 , when the Lamborghini Lorenzo Bentempelli slammed into the rear side of the Porsche, poking the right wheel , so should to pit . Incorporated into the race a lap later , on 23rd and last position , Fernando returned to recover positions realizing some slower cars , delivering 997 to his companion ' Cochito ' Lopez at position 15 . The second part of the race , with a large traffic slower cars , it was surpassed by the Argentine rightly completing it in 18th place and 6th in SGT.
