This past weekend meant more than two days to the Spanish motorsport. The triumph of the great champion Fernando Alonso in GP European Championship in Valencia joins the European Touring Car title, after two more wins, Fernando Monje at Imola. Two Spanish Fernandos triumphing in one day and one of them, Monk, of only 19, Barcelona (07.03.1993), making his first title of a track record wanting to expand.
The title of Monje, European Touring Car is the first to get a Spanish rider in this discipline and has also been accompanied by the European Nations title given to the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation, ranked ahead of sports institutions in Norway, Czech Republic, Germany and Switzerland.
