External problems leave Fernando Monje (Seat) out of Q2

Ring Slovakia, Bratislava (Slovak Republic), April 27, 2013. - The current European Touring Car Champion, Fernando Monje (Seat Leon WTCC), has completed the qualification for the third round of the World Touring Car Championship, which takes place Slovakia on track Ring, 40 km from Bratislava, in 18th place.

Activity for global pilots Saturday started with a dispute between two free practice sessions in which Fernando Monje has marked the 17th and the 8th fastest time, respectively. The rating took place early in the afternoon. The Lion began marking the best of times, but soon the session was stopped due to strong Darryl O'Young crash that forced the vehicle to remove the protection and repair of the track, which was very dirty stones and pieces by this issue . The break was used by the team Campos Racing to replace Fernando León radiator, broken by the impact of one of these pieces since precisely the Barcelona rolled right behind O'Young.

Upon resumption of the same, Fernando had a hard time approaching the top ten, which ultimately would have given the pass to Q2, since it marked the 18th time. A 4 minutes from the end, Monk track again to try one last effort, but the excessive traffic not enhancing, so that ended the rating in that 18th.

Tomorrow, the two WTCC races will be played to 10 laps and with very little time between them. The first will run at 14.50 and the second at 15.50.
